About Dr. Steph
“Dr. Stephanie Harris provides so much comfort, safety, and exceptional care. Her skill and expertise are only matched by her warmth and love. The way in which she honors her work, her patients and the spirit of chiropractic separates her from the masses.” -Phuong Nguyen, Namaste Health Center, Durango
Dr. Stephanie Harris holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin, and she was formerly a Registered Dietitian. After spending more than a decade in her first career in food and nutrition, she had a life-changing experience with chiropractic, and soon thereafter realized that her life’s passion was in health and healing through chiropractic. She graduated with her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College West in 2008, with highest honors (summa cum laude) and as Valedictorian of her class.
Dr. Steph utilizes a unique combination of light-touch chiropractic combined with gentle adjustments in order to help the body unwind tension and heal from past or present injuries, traumas, and health conditions. She loves writing about and teaching the principles of chiropractic and healing here on her blog and in person throughout Durango. She is currently writing feature articles for the Food and Nutrition section of the Durango Herald.
In January of 2015, her life was turned upside down when her young daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. Her daughter is completely healed and thriving again. Through the experience of her daughter’s healing journey, Dr. Steph gained a mountain of perspective on health and healing. She is overjoyed for the opportunity to share her insights with you.
She lives with her husband and two children in Durango, Colorado, where she values spending time outdoors with her family and their two dogs.
Dr. Steph is an active member of the Durango Chiropractic Alliance, and she is a member and proud contributor to the monthly newsletters for the IFCO, which is the International Federation of Chiropractors and Organizations.
